The Outer Banks

We spent the weekend of May 10th at the Outer Banks. The wedding of cousin Darren took us there, but we spent some time wondering around visiting light houses, horse filled dunes, Jockey's Ridge, and hunting down the movie scene for an upcoming movie. The movie is based on a book by Nicholas Sparks call Nights in Rodanthe and the leading actor is Richard Gere. We did indeed find the place it was being filmed on Saturday. We went back on Sunday to see if we could catch a glimpse of some eye candy, but the only thing we really caught a glimpse of was sand in the eyes. It was very windy and cold which prevented us from staying as long as we would have liked. Needless to say the Outer Banks were beautiful and I didn't want to leave. Visit there if you have a chance, it's a great place. Dawn
